A More Exceptional Way For Leaders To Learn, Grow And Conquer
Funny thing about conferences and seminars. They’re very inspirational until 48 hours later, when they’re not. You can get all kinds of jacked up emotionally from what you’ve learned. You can say, “I’m totally going to put this to good use when I get back!”
Yeah…OK. You know what’s going to happen. Fast forward a few weeks ahead. Hey, are you using any of that stuff the guru on stage told you to do? What’s that?
Oh. You’re not using any of it. Gee, that sure was a lot of bread you blew going to see colleagues and be inspired for a few days that you can’t do anything with. No wonder some people in leadership roles aren’t as enamored with trade shows and conferences quite as much as they used to be.
Here’s the bad news: You can’t become someone you’re not in half a day, a full day or a weekend. It’s never going to happen, friend. Not on a grand scale.
